Gravel Town is a town in the suouth-west of Rijon. It is the location of the Rijon Pokémon Laboratory.

Location Location of Gravel Town in Rijon.

Gravel Town is where the player receives their starter Pokémon and Pokédex, both from the laboratory. Here they will also battle their Rival before setting off on their journey properly via Merson Cave.

The laboratory is where the player obtains their starter Pokémon: Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle. It is also where they will receive the Pokédex, once bringing Professor Tim his pizza.

In Prism, Gravel Town has little for the player to do until they have won all 8 Rijon Badges. It is however in between two cities with Gyms.

Professor Tim's Lab

The laboratory is now being run by Tim's granddaughter and assistant while the professor is away. Once the player has obtained all 8 Rijon Badges she will give them one of the Rijon starter Pokémon. All three are obtainable, though the last two will cost the player 8 Gold Tokens each. With all 8 badges the player will also get the Ferry Ticket from Jen and be able to reach the Battle Arcade.
