The Jumping Shoes are a Key Item or feature in Pokémon Prism. Once picked up, it does not remain in the bag, but unlocks the ability to jump (similar to the Running Shoes in other games). Having the shoes is required to progress in the game.

After obtaining the Jumping Shoes, the player can jump over small gaps (1 tile wide) by facing the gap and pressing A.

Obtaining[]

Milos Catacombs - Jumping Shoes

The item ball containing the Jumping Shoes

The Jumping Shoes are found in Milos Catacombs, in the second "side-scroller" area (B2Fb).

A puzzle with colored switches and corresponding blocks needs to be solved to reach them, but once they have been picked up the puzzle can be skipped by jumping over a gap. See the Puzzle walkthrough images for more detailed information.

Use[]

As well as being used to progress through the Catacombs, the shoes allow the player to reach otherwise inaccessible areas. They are not only used in "side-scroller" locations, but can cross chasms, holes and pools of lava in regular, top-down areas, so long as the gap is only 1 tile wide.

Location Use
Mound Cave (Upper Area) Reaching an item ball containing TM26 (Earthquake)
Milos Catacombs (B2Fa) Skipping part of the colored levers puzzle
Milos Catacombs (B2Fb) Skipping the colored levers puzzle, and reaching a Dawn Stone

Saxifrage Prison (1F) Escaping the player's cell, by jumping over a small pit to the left
Spurge Gym (B2F) Reaching two of the player's Pokémon when crossing the side-scroller area
