Laurel City is a city in the Naljo region. It is reached via Route 75 and provides access to Route 76, with Laurel Forest further to the south.
It contains a Gym, the Name Rater, a laboratory for reviving fossils, and a Gold Token exchange point in the PokéMart. The entrance to the Magikarp Caverns is also located here.
Laurel City contains the third gym in Naljo, located in the north-west of the city and requiring Cut to enter. Its leader Brooklyn cannot be challenged until the player has rescued her Totodile from Laurel Forest, although the gym trainers can be battled before then.
Brooklyn uses Fairy-type Pokémon between the levels of 21-24. Winning will earn the player the Charm Badge and TM45 (Attract), as well as Brooklyn's Totodile, who then follows the player out of the gym after their victory.
Fossil Laboratory[]
In the north of the town, the player can hand in their Fossils to be revived. This is also where they receive the Fossil Case, allowing them to collect fossils found when Mining.
Name Rater[]
The Name Rater's home is located in the western half of town, just south of the Route 75 gate. He will allow players to change their Pokémon's nicknames for free, so long as the Pokémon is in their party.
The entrance to the Magikarp Caverns is found in the north-east of the city, but is blocked by an NPC until after the player has obtained the Charm Badge. Completing the trial in the caverns is required before the player can pass through Laurel Forest to its exit.
A colored background means that the Pokémon can be found in this location at that time of day. A white background means that the Pokémon cannot be found at that time.
