This is a list of all the new types found in Pokémon Prism.

In the region of Naljo, there are new types in order to expand the mechanics in the game. There are two new main types: Gas-type and Sound-type. There are also rare types only found on some moves, those being Tri-type and Prism-type.

Gas type Edit

Battle properties Edit

Gas-type moves:

  • Are super effective against: Fighting, Fairy, Fire
  • Are not very effective against: Rock, Ghost, Sound, Grass, Ice
  • Have no effect against: Nothing

Gas-type Pokémon:

  • Resist: Fighting, Bug
  • Are weak to: Sound, Tri, Fire, Grass, Ice
  • Have immunity to: Nothing

Sleep Talk Status 100 10 Randomly chooses one of the user's moves. Can only be used while sleeping. TM35: Obtained in Heath Village.
Roar Status 100 20 The target is made to switch out with an ally. In the wild, the battle ends.

Tri type Edit

Prism Spray will randomly select another type every time. The type effectiveness is therefore unused.

  • Have immunity to: Nothing

Trivia Edit

  • Gas and Fire no longer have their unique x3 effectiveness against each other from Pokémon Brown. Now being a simple x2.
  • Earlier versions of Pokémon Prism had a Pokémon named Prismeon, it was the only possessor of the Prism-type.
  • In the Summer 2010 Beta, the Bug-type was renamed to Insect-type.
