Provincial Park is a small park in the east of the Naljo region. The cave in the south of the park leads to Firelight Caverns, while the gatehouse in the north-east connects it to Route 81.
There are no trainers here, but wild Pokemon can be encountered.

Challenge[]
The player can initiate the Provincial Park Challenge by speaking to the guard at the Route 81 gate.
This is a challenge where the player can catch Pokémon using special Park Balls within a time limit. The limit is determined by minutes, not by steps, and unlike Eagulou Park the player will use their party Pokémon to battle the wild Pokémon they encounter.
Three kinds of challenges are offered normally, which vary in price, time, and the number of Park Balls that the player starts out with.
Time | Park Balls | Cost | |||||
10 Minutes | 15 | 2000 | |||||
20 Minutes | 30 | 3500 | |||||
30 Minutes | 50 | 5000 | |||||
Once the challenge is selected, the guard holds on to all kinds of Poké Balls in the player's Item bag, and they are sent out into the park. Entry to Firelight Caverns is blocked during this time, and the layout of the park changes slightly.
Pokémon are not encountered by walking around: instead, various shrines have appeared around the park, and the player must check these to find Pokémon. There is also a possibility to find types of Poké Balls (including Master Balls), or nothing at all. Once the Pokémon have been battled or the items taken, the shrines will take a short while to refresh. There are 13 shrines in total, including one which can only be reached by using Surf.
If a Pokémon is found within a shrine, the player will be told its species and level, before choosing whether or not they want to begin a battle with it. The type of Pokémon varies depending on the time of day, and the levels scale with the levels of the player's party Pokémon, though they will always be lower than their highest leveled party member.
If poké balls are found, they will be taken away from the player once their time is up, but returned once they start a new challenge.
As well as the regular park challenges, there is a "weekend special" available on Saturdays and Sundays. It costs 2500 for 15 minutes, and the player is given 20 Park Balls. The Pokémon found during this challenge are unique to the weekend special.
