Varaneous is one of four Guardian Pokemon of the Naljo region. It is considered a Legendary Pokemon.
It has a unique type combination of Water/Fire, and also has the unique attacks Lava Pool and Boil.
Its ability is Naljo Fury, an ability it shares with the other Guardians of Naljo.
Once Varaneous has been awakened by the Palette Patrollers, it becomes a roaming Pokemon.
